Remnant 2

Remnant from the Ashes but better

Gunfire Games' Remnant series returns with its highly anticipated second installment, set to release on July 25th.

Following the success of Remnant from the Ashes in 2019, this sequel holds immense promise in my eyes. As a huge enthusiast of souls-like games, I was thrilled when I heard about a souls-like shooter with Remnant from the Ashes, and it certainly delivered.

In the first part of the series, they introduced a world with randomized levels. This means that each playthrough felt unique, offering a different experience every time. This aspect can be a make-or-break factor for some players. While some may prefer not to replay a game multiple times just to experience all the content it has to offer, others may view it as an exciting opportunity to explore different playstyles.

Ultimately, the choice lies with each individual. However, it's important to note that Remnant 2 plans to take this aspect even further. So, how promising does it look? Based on what I've seen, it holds tremendous potential. The true extent of its promise will become clear in a few weeks on July 25th. I will share my detailed review a few days after, once once I experienced enough of it.

What to Expect:

Similar to its predecessor, Remnant 2 is a third-person shooter with RPG elements. Character building, exploration, and combat take center stage. From what has been revealed so far, the game closely resembles the first part, but with noticeable improvements, which is undoubtedly a positive sign.
